General Terms and Conditions

Introduction: These “General Terms and Conditions” govern the sale of the package deals and services of Motsi Sarl (43 Boulevard Gerges Favon, 1204 Geneva) which appear in the brochure and on the website www.passover-vacation.com. They define the conditions for the purchase of catering and other deals and services, as well as holiday (Pessach) programs which appear on the internet, or which are offered by phone. Depending on the venue, prices may be displayed in Swiss francs or in local currency.

Registration for the Motsi Sarl’s Pessach program implies acceptance of the rules of the hotel and of the terms and conditions below. A reservation is only valid with a deposit of 50% of the total price of the signed reservation form. Only receipt of the full deposit will constitute confirmation of the reservation. A written acknowledgment of confirmation will be sent. The remainder of the price will be due one month before the program is due to begin.

The rates indicated on the registration form do not include any extras, such as use of the telephone in the room, laundry services, office fees for services, use of items in the room’s mini-bar, taxi services or other forms of transport, rental of private lounges, tourist taxes etc. Each guest is responsible for the room/s occupied and is liable for any damages caused. Parents are responsible for damages caused by their children during the entire Pessach holiday and it is therefore up to the parents to decide whether their children can actually stay by themselves in a room.

Upon arrival at the hotel guests will be requested to present a credit-card as guarantee of payment before being given keys to the room/s. We strongly advise to take out special cancellation insurance or to pay with a credit card that includes cancellation insurance.

Conditions for Cancellation by the Guest:

  • Between 61 and 31 days before the start of the program: 50% of the full amount (the “deposit”)
  • Between 30 and 15 days: 75% of the full amount of the package is due
  • Less than 15 days:100% of the full amount of the package is due

If Motsi Sarl will not have received the full amount of the deposit? of the full amount of the package deal? by the stipulated time, Motsi Sarl will not be obliged to retain the reservation. A late payment will be considered a cancellation and no refund or compensation will be paid.

Cancellation Fees:

An administrative fee of 150 Swiss francs per person will be charged in any case of cancellation by the customer.

Cancellation by Motsi Sarl:

If Motsi Sarl is forced to completely cancel the Pessach package (or any other package deal) before the date of arrival, a substitution program will be offered pending availability. The client will be offered this alternative package deal either via registered mail, email or fax within the shortest time from date of cancellation. Cancellation of the program by Motsi Sarl will be deemed to be the date on which the letter, email or fax is sent.

The client must notify Motsi Sarl within 7 days of receipt of this notification that they intend to accept the alternative package. If the client has not notified Motsi Sarl within the 7 days of their intention to avail themselves of the alternative package, the offer will be null and void and the client will receive a full refund of all monies paid. In addition, the client will not have to pay cancellation fees. Local law and jurisprudence will govern all cases of “force majeure” such as, but not limited to, strikes, fires, floods, civil wars, epidemics, and border closures. In any event, no compensation will be paid for transportation, travel, child care or the like.

If the client opts for the alternative program, no compensation will be paid by Motsi Sarl. If the full price of the alternative package is less than the original package, the difference will be deducted or refunded according to the balance of payment of the client. If the price of the alternative program is higher, the client will be expected to pay the difference to Motsi Sarl. All disputes will be adjudicated by the court of the Geneva district.
